Allianz Insurance

Allianz Global Assistance is one of the world's largest travel insurance and assistance providers, protecting over eight million Canadians when they travel abroad. In Canada, travel insurance is underwritten by CUMIS General Insurance Company, a member of The Co-operators group of companies, and administered by Allianz Global Assistance (AZGA Service Canada Inc.). Plans are available for Canadians travelling outside their home province, visitors to Canada, and international students studying in Canada.

Allianz Travel Insurance

Allianz Travel Insurance is designed for Canadians travelling outside their home province or territory. Coverage of up to $10,000,000 in emergency medical expenses is available, along with options for trip cancellation and interruption, baggage, and accidental death protection. Plans are available as single trip or annual multi-trip policies, with a 10-day free-look period on most plans.

Available plans

• Emergency Medical Plan — Up to $10M emergency medical coverage for Canadians travelling outside their home province.
• Comprehensive Package — Combines emergency medical with trip cancellation, trip interruption, travel delay, baggage loss & delay, and travel accident coverage.
• Annual Multi-Trip Plans — Basic (EM only), Select Option 1 (EM + flight accident), Select Option 2 (adds trip cancellation & interruption), and Youth Plan (EM + trip interruption + AD&D + baggage).

Allianz Visitors to Canada Insurance

Allianz Visitors to Canada Insurance covers emergency medical expenses for non-residents visiting Canada, including tourists, super visa applicants, temporary foreign workers, landed immigrants, and returning Canadians not yet eligible for provincial health coverage. Choose from $25,000, $50,000, or $100,000 in emergency medical coverage, plus accidental death & dismemberment protection.

Available plans

• Visitors to Canada Plan — Emergency hospital and medical coverage, emergency transportation, accidental dental, out-of-pocket expenses, transportation of family/friend, and return of deceased. Ages 15 days to 89 years.

Allianz International Student Insurance

Allianz International Student Insurance is designed for international students enrolled full-time at a Canadian school, college, or university. Coverage of up to $5,000,000 is available, with benefits tailored for student needs including maternity, eye exams, physical exams, and tutorial services. Spouses and dependent children of eligible students may also be covered.

• Standard Option — $5M emergency medical, dental, emergency transportation, AD&D, maternity, eye & physical exams, and tutorial services.
• Standard + 90-Day Pre-existing Option — All Standard benefits plus coverage for pre-existing conditions stable for at least 90 days.
